The department presently includes 23 full-time faculty. It offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering in areas of specialization spanning thermo-fluids, mechanics of solids, vibrations, controls, and materials science and engineering. In addition, the Department offers, in collaboration with the Department of Polymer Engineering, a nationally unique program in Mechanical-Polymer Engineering. All of our programs are ABET accredited. The College of Engineering has over 1,900 undergraduate and 300 graduate students constituting a diverse student body.
