The Laser Velocimetry Laboratory is designed to allow measurements of fluid velocity and turbulence. The laser velocimetry apparatus includes a Bragg cell which allows the measurements of negative velocities (in a given direction). The apparatus includes a PC computer-controlled capability to acquire the data and to compute the mean velocity and the turbulent intensity at any point in the considered flow-field.
